Purpose
Growing Wild Project CIC is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all children, young people, families, volunteers, staff, and visitors participating in our activities. This Behaviour Policy outlines the standards of conduct expected to ensure everyone can learn, grow, and enjoy our gardening and outdoor programmes.

Expected Behaviour
All participants are expected to:
- Follow instructions from staff and volunteers.
- Treat others with respect and courtesy.
- Use appropriate language and behaviour.
- Share equipment and resources fairly.
- Respect personal space and boundaries.
- Help keep activity areas clean and tidy.
- Use tools, equipment, and materials safely.
- Stay within designated areas unless given permission to leave.
- Report any concerns, accidents, or unsafe situations to a member of staff.
Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviours are not acceptable:
- Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or discrimination.
- Physical aggression, fighting, or threatening behaviour.
- Deliberate damage to plants, wildlife habitats, equipment, or property.
- Use of offensive, abusive, or inappropriate language.
- Unsafe use of tools or equipment.
- Behaviour that disrupts activities or prevents others from participating.
- Leaving supervised areas without permission.
- Any behaviour that places themselves or others at risk.
Environmental Responsibility
Participants are encouraged to:
- Respect plants, trees, wildlife, and natural habitats.
- Avoid unnecessary waste.
- Follow instructions regarding planting, harvesting, and conservation activities.
- Help maintain a clean and healthy outdoor environment.
Positive Behaviour Support
Growing Wild Project CIC promotes positive behaviour through:
- Clear expectations and guidance.
- Positive role modelling by staff and volunteers.
- Recognition and praise for positive contributions.
- Encouraging teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving.
- Supporting children and young people to learn from mistakes.
